New Location for Sunday Worship

Originally we were set on starting a church in South Austin, in Circle C, but one day I was driving down Burnet Road, passing through the intersection of Anderson Ln, and it was if the Holy Spirit said, “Start the church right here in this community.”

My immediate response was, “This is a horrible place to start a church.  People don’t live here, they drive through here,” but then the Holy Spirit says, “Take a left or a right” and I learned about Crestview, Brentwood, Allandale, and began to learn the story of north central Austin, and in that moment we were hooked!

We started talking to every person we had ever met, and somehow gathered 17 adults who committed 1 year (only 1 year) to getting a new church started, we all committed a total of $75K, and North Village Church was birthed into existence.

Now, you need to know when we started the church the Lord made it really clear to me that this was going to be a slow process. Honestly, I didn’t think it would be this slow, but He made it clear to me that we are putting a stake in the ground for His glory, and it might be slow, but He will take care of us, and being able to secure a new location at 2203 W. Anderson Ln. is just one step of the Lord’s provision over the last 10 years of prayers, knocking on doors, worships services, moving locations, dog fairs, and it’s a big deal that we need to celebrate.
