On July 25, 2-5p we are going to partner with Magic Cycle to provide free laundry for low income families. It is a small step but it is a direction we are looking to go in so that we can better serve the community.

In October Austin will host one of the largest music festivals in the country. This year will have well known musicians like Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews Band, and up and coming artists like Flogging Molly, Phoenix, and Black Joe Lewis.
Yesterday we got to host a dog fair in central Austin and it was great! We had about 12 local pets shops, vets, and trainers come out to answer questions and serve the community. There were over 500 people that attended the fair between 2-5 on a Sunday afternoon and it was great! We heard positive responses from the local shops, people attending, and we had a blast being able to serve the community. This is something we will have to keep going! March 15, 2-5pm we are having a Dog Fair at Brentwood park. Everyone in Austin loves dogs so we are excited to get them together for the afternoon. We have invited local pet shops, vets, and trainers to make their services available and it will be a blast!
I have lived in Austin over 3 years and in Austin that is a long time. We live in North Austin which is technically not considered “Austin” if you live in the south, however, it is the part of Austin that I love. It still has the folksy, artsy, creative side to it, but still has the feel of a city. Not sure how you get folksy and city in one place, but North Austin does it.
